CA G. Ramaswamy, B.Com, FCA, FCS, is a distinguished Chartered Accountant with over four decades of professional practice, hailing from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He is the first ICAI President from Coimbatore, having served as President of ICAI for 2011-12. An internationally recognized professional, he served as Board Member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), USA, and has held leadership roles at CAPA, SAFA, and XBRL International. He has chaired multiple Standing and Non-Standing Committees of ICAI including the Examination Committee, Finance Committee, Disciplinary Committee, and International Affairs Committee. He holds honorary memberships from the Association of International Accountants (UK), CPA Australia, and Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia. A prolific speaker at national and international conferences, he has presented papers on taxation, corporate law, and professional topics. He is a Resolution Professional (IBBI & IPAICAI), Chairman of the Advisory Committee of IIIPA of ICAI, and a Central Government nominee on the Quality Review Board under the Actuaries Act.
